Antartica

Today Room 7 were lucky enough to be visited by Alex Eilers who works with seals in Antartica. We learnt all about how to weigh the seals, how they learn about the seals and what to wear to keep warm.

We look forward to learning more about Antartica in the coming weeks!

Our Current Learning Focuses

Maths - We are learning to identify groupings to ten and twenty.

On Fridays we are learning about shape - 2D and 3D

Reading - We are learning to self monitor our reading (to make sure we understand everything we read) and to retell the story with detail

Writing - we are learning to write a procedure (instructions)

Oral Language - We are learning to show we are listening to the speaker with body language

Phonics - We are learning to link letters to their sounds, identify short and long sounds for vowels.

Handwriting - We are learning to form letters correctly.

RE - We are learning to recognise the Communion of Saints
